I bought the nutrients from my hometown. Much cheaper than buying online. Lettuces must be planted under direct sunlight. Depending on the variety, they tolerate heat and humidity to different extend. I planted six varieties and concluded that the Grand Rapids variety is the best for climate in PJ. It is very delicious and looks beautiful on sandwiches. I plant it every month. It has a high biomass capacity and grow very fast in minimum amount of mineral nutrients. Remember that the secret to successful lettuce cultivation is direct sunlight and protect its nutrients reservoir from sunlight. Attempt to insulate it if weather is very hot. Use Kratky's method. Its very cost effective. And build a miniature roof to protect it from heavy rain.
thank you for the tips. i also grow the lettuce direct sunlight before but they wilted and eventually die. at the growing stage, they did well under sunlight but after 3/4 onward they don't do well. i also use kratky's method too. do you have any other social media where i can reach you for some tips, if you don't mind?
